Looking for a dynamic role where your finance, administrative, and HR talents can make a direct impact? We are hiring an Administrative Assistant / Business Operations & HR Specialist to support the busy central operations of a premier higher education institution in Boulder.
This is an exciting, high-visibility role offering the opportunity to streamline key processes, support cross-functional teams, and gain valuable experience within higher education administration. Bonus:

Pay: DOE $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
Shift: Full time hours
- Flexible schedule - 8 hrs per day between 7am - 6pm Mon
- Fri.

As a crucial back-bone for shared administrative operations, you will balance finance, human resources, and special project coordination in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
- Financial & Budget Analysis:
Review expenditures across multiple units, perform financial reconciliations, and synthesize large-scale data into executive summaries and reports. - HR & Personnel Workflow:
Help map and streamline HR transactional workflows, organize shared electronic files for compliance, and track personnel updates. - Project & Workflow Management:
Triage shared operational inboxes, prioritize incoming requests, and build detailed schedules to ensure key project deliverables stay on track. - Process Improvement & Communications:
Draft routine and special operational correspondence, and create standard operating procedure (SOP) documentation to improve team efficiency.
Education:
High School Diploma required;
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 2 years in budget and finance administration (or a closely related operational role).
- At least 1 year in human resources or personnel management administration.
- Technical
Skills:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, along with general working knowledge of MS Office Suite and Google Workspace. - Core Strengths:
Excellent written/verbal communication, sharp analytical skills, strong organizational habits, and a customer-service mindset when collaborating with diverse teams. - Plus Factor:
Previous administrative experience in higher education is a huge bonus.
