This opportunity is with an established General Contractor that specializes in converting existing buildings and structures into complex industrial complexes and is looking to expand its foothold even further into the Critical Facilities Market. Our client is applying its expertise to brownfield data center projects – converting existing buildings into data centers for the hyperscale, colo or enterprise marketplace. We are looking for a Data Center Construction Project Executive to support critical facility construction projects. They will be responsible for all aspects of managing a data center brownfield construction project, providing leadership to contractors and vendors and ensuring projects are delivered on budget, on time, and meet company design standards and objectives. The successful candidate will be exceptionally organized, skilled in back‑office work (change orders, budgets, paperwork), and driven.

• Maintain liaison with various contractors and vendors to manage day‑to‑day activities that impact project delivery.
• Oversee a team of project managers who manage individual projects within the overall portfolio and provide guidance and direction.
• Apply solid construction project‑management experience, including managing teams of construction professionals such as PMs and superintendents.
• Manage data center construction projects with budgets ranging from $50 MM to $500 MM+
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and assist the senior project manager in negotiating contracts with vendors as necessary; responsible for creating and managing project schedules.
• Develop project plans – sizing, cost estimates, budgets, scheduling, timelines, and change‑order management.
• Assist with reporting and RFPs to contractors.
• Deliver built‑to‑suit projects with a heavy emphasis on value‑engineering.
• Drive company standards uniformly for project delivery by all participants on all projects.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company’s interests while maintaining good client relationships.
• Represent the company in project meetings.
• Act as key liaison with managers of all company departments.
• Maintain all logs required to track project progress.
• Possess an extensive network within the mission‑critical data center facilities market.
• Background in critical facilities design, architecture, engineering, and construction services.

• Experience managing data center construction projects as an owner or general contractor/GC/trade.
• Previous experience managing a diverse team of high‑level construction project managers on multi‑million‑dollar projects.
• 8‑15+ years of relevant experience in the data center construction industry (MEP critical facilities).
• Client‑facing and client‑management skills.
• PMP certification a plus.
• Familiarity with the design process of building systems for data center and mission‑critical projects.
• Solid construction project‑management experience.
• Effective communicator – emails, phone, and face‑to‑face.
• Previous military experience (all branches) is a huge plus; experience with electrical/mechanical Navy, Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, etc.
• Ability to work independently.
• Solid admin skills: email, internet, and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Project).
