The Role

We’re looking for a nimble, hands‑on Art Director who can set the visual standard for our brand and produce the work to match. This is a maker’s role as much as a director’s: one day you’re art‑directing a campaign and building polished assets in Illustrator, the next you’re using AI tools to generate concepts, renderings, and video. You’ll translate complex technology into visuals that are clear, striking, and unmistakably ours.

You’ll move fast across formats and audiences, raise the craft on everything we ship, and bring an experimental edge that keeps our work ahead of the curve.

What You’ll Do Art Direction & Branding
  • Own the visual direction of campaigns, content, and brand expression across digital, print, web, and events
  • Establish and evolve our visual identity, ensuring consistency across every touchpoint
  • Art‑direct photography, illustration, video, and design — whether produced in‑house or with partners
  • Set the bar for quality and push the team’s creative ceiling higher
Design & Production
  • Skills to design and build production‑ready assets in Illustrator, InDesign (and the broader Creative Suite)
  • Produce a wide range of deliverables: campaign graphics, sales and trade‑show collateral, web and social assets, presentations, and data visualizations
  • Turn technical and scientific concepts into clear, compelling visuals that pique our audience’s interest
AI‑Powered Creative
  • Native fluency in AI creative tools to accelerate and expand what we produce; concepting, content generation, image and video creation, and product/scene renderings
  • Develop and refine prompts, workflows, and pipelines that integrate AI into our creative process
  • Stay ahead of emerging tools and bring the best of them into our work
  • Pair AI speed with human art direction so the output stays on‑brand and high‑craft
Collaboration & Workflow
  • Partner with the Director of Marketing and cross‑functional teams to bring campaigns and the website to life
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Give and take creative feedback that makes the work better
What You Bring
  • 5+ years in art direction or production design, ideally spanning brand, campaign, and content work
  • Solid foundational abilities in Adobe Illustrator and the wider Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign; After Effects a plus)
  • Demonstrated AI creative chops: hands‑on experience with generative tools for image, video, rendering, and content (e.g., Midjourney, Firefly, Runway, Nano Banana or similar), with some work that proves it
  • Nimble and versatile: comfortable shifting between high‑level direction and rolling up your sleeves to produce on short notice
  • A strong, current design sensibility and exceptional attention to craft and detail
  • Ability to make complex or technical subject matter visually clear and exciting
  • Self‑directed and organized, able to juggle many projects in a fast‑moving environment
  • A standout portfolio demonstrating both classic art direction and modern, AI‑assisted work
  • Bonus: motion/video editing, 3D or rendering experience
