Position Overview
Uniquely located in the heart of Boulder at The Hiltons on Canyon (Embassy Suites & Hilton Garden Inn), front desk associates will provide exceptional service to our guests.
Full Time or Part Time – $18–$22 per hour.

- Respond professionally and courteously to arriving, departing, and in‑house guests by providing accurate and timely information and services.
- Answer telephone and in‑person inquiries regarding reservations, hotel information, and guest concerns.
- Greet guests and complete check‑in procedures daily, using manual and computerized methods to ensure guests are satisfied and in rooms as requested.
- Facilitate guest departure (check‑out) daily, following established procedures to close guest accounts and prepare rooms for the next sell.
- Calculate and post monetary transactions, receipts, guest accounts, and other credit forms using accurate cash handling methods, presenting precise hotel charges upon check‑out and maintaining accurate records.
- Answer inquiries and accept reservations in person and by telephone, accurately communicating hotel rates and information and using suggestive selling techniques to increase occupancy and revenue.
- Maintain good customer relations, answering in‑house and area function questions with timely, knowledgeable responses.
- Operate the PBX equipment, accept incoming calls, assist outgoing calls, schedule wake‑up and paging, providing efficient service.
- Control cash transactions at the front desk, maintain responsibility for personal bank as per hotel bank agreement policy.
- Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
High School diploma or equivalent.
ExperienceNone required.
Knowledge & Skills- High school graduate level mathematical aptitude, knowledge of standard cash handling procedures and computerized cash register systems.
- Experience dealing directly with the public and general customer service skills.
- Fluency in oral and written English.
- Tact and understanding when dealing with varied customer service problems, including stressful and emotional situations.
- Highly organized, able to pay attention to minute written and verbal details, especially when multitasking.
- Read written communications and operate monochrome computer screen.
- Operate computer, calculator, and telephone keyboards for cash handling and paperwork processing.
- Understand and follow verbal or written instructions, work on more than one task simultaneously, communicate verbally and in writing.
- Stand for 90% of shift, bending/kneeling repeatedly, occasional carrying/lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Reach all areas of the hotel to assist clients, mobility required.
- Prolonged standing at an indoor, climate‑controlled workstation under fluorescent lighting.
