Project Captain​/Architect

Fanas Architecture is a small design-oriented firm in downtown Boulder, specializing in custom homes & remodels, as well as select commercial projects. We’re looking for a full-time Project Job Captain / Architect (licensed or not) to join us. We’re looking for someone who’s capable of taking conceptual & schematic designs & running with them. Tasks include generation of construction drawings in Revit, materials research & selection, client & consultant communication & coordination.

We are an extremely relaxed yet professional firm. We pride ourselves on the quality of work, and the quality of our work environment. We hire talented, fun, flexible, energetic, professionally-minded people. We allow for flexible hours & schedules. We work four nine hour days in-office, and a four hour Friday remotely.

Our staff hierarchy is much more horizontal than most firms – we give all staff the opportunity to perform all architectural tasks. We try to treat staff like we wanted to be treated when we were in their position.

• B. Arch or M Arch.
• Architectural Licensure or pending.
• 2+ years experience with residential / commercial.
• Strong Revit proficiency REQUIRED. We utilize a Revit ‘exercise’ prior to employment.
• Strong drafting, design, graphics & written and verbal communication skills.
• Be able to develop architectural drawings from concept to SD, DD & CD.
• Exercise quality control of ones own work and time.
• Detail oriented.
• Self-motivated.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills. Ability to juggle multiple projects.
• Positive, helpful, "can do", team player attitude is a must.
• Auto Cad Architecture, Revit, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop required.
• Ideal candidates will have both residential and commercial experience in small to mid-sized projects.
