Camp Capers is seeking Staff-in-Training (SITs) for the 2026 Summer Camp season. For applicants who have completed their sophomore year of high school and college aged volunteers. SITs (Staff-in-Training) serve as volunteer co-counselors alongside our Summer Staff counselors as a part of our SIT Program.

SIT Counselors are assigned sessions on a first come, first serve basis following the guidelines and requirements of the SIT Program.

Applicants under 18 years old must use their family's account to apply. Volunteer hours for time served at camp can be granted upon request; contact camp.capers for more information.

Mark your calendar! Camp Capers SIT Retreat will take place May 23-24
! Attendance is mandatory for all participants in the program. This retreat will include more information about the Staff-in-Training (SIT) Program, training and tools to equip you to serve this summer, and opportunities to bond with other SITs and summer staff!

SIT 2s, 3s, and older volunteers - interested in serving during our Mid-Winter Camps?
This application will also serve as your mid-winter application.

All staff serving during mid-winter camp must have completed training prior to the weekend(s).

Counselors are assigned sessions on a first come, first serve basis; please keep your availability in mind.

Session Counselor applicants under 18 years old must use their family's account to apply for the volunteer Session Counseling position. Volunteer hours for time served at camp can be granted upon request; contact camp.capers for more information.

Camp Capers Session Counselor training will take place pre-Summer Camp! Stay tuned for an email announcing early training dates, and additional information. Come spend a weekend (or two!) volunteering during our mid-winter camps in January!

This application is for staff who have served as a Staff-in-Training (SIT) or on summer staff.

Please note:

All Camp Capers' summer staff applicants for the upcoming summer should submit their mid-winter camp availability on their summer application. These applicants will only need to complete the summer staff application. Summer Staff applicants will be prioritized to serve during mid-winter camps as a part of their application.

SIT 2s, 3s, and older volunteers! If you are interested in serving during the summer as well, please submit a SIT & Volunteer Application - your mid-winter availability will be included there.

Mustang Island Family Camp is hiring Summer Staff for the 2026 camping season. Mustang Island Family Camp summer staff members work together as a “Christian hospitality” team, to make each family’s experience meaningful and hassle-free so they can enjoy intentional family time together as they rest, reflect and renew with God and each other in His coastal creation. As a part of the family camp staff, individuals will work in all aspects of camp: from checking-in families and welcoming them to the island to working in the kitchen during meals;

from setting up the beach, leading beach activities and teaching surf lessons to leading arts and crafts. And much more!
