Job Description

Do you bring out the star in your students? Taylor Robinson Music, the world’s largest private music instruction provider, is looking for private music instructors who share our philosophy of “Learn to Play From the Heart.” We strive to make music lessons as accessible and affordable as possible, believing that music education is essential to making the world a better, happier place.

We are hiring private music instructors, especially for guitar. We do not have a brick‑and‑mortar studio in the Boulder, CO area, but students need teachers ASAP. Lessons can be held in the students’ homes, at your own home or studio/rehearsal space, or via webcam. While webcam lessons make up a small percentage of our student base, most students still prefer in‑person lessons, so we need local instructors who can host students and/or are willing to travel within the Boulder, CO area.

Responsibilities
  • Teach private lessons as an independent contractor, with pay of $20‑$30 per hour based on travel time, experience, education, and student retention.
  • Set your own schedule, curriculum, and lesson plans.
  • Handle all student communication and administrative coordination with our office.
  • Travel to students’ homes or bring students to your studio/rehearsal space.
  • Maintain a clean, safe teaching environment: wear a mask, sanitize hands, and practice social distancing when applicable.
Qualifications
  • Either a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or previous teaching experience.
  • Strong communication skills and reliability; on time for all lessons.
  • Good with children and enthusiasm for teaching music.
