Job Summary
The Museum Mentored Writing Fellowship supports up to 40hours of paid scholarship for one post-graduate to complete amentored writing project resulting in publication submission,following completion of the MFS graduate program in CU Museum of Natural History. This position provides hands-on experience inmuseum educational research and mentored writing that contribute snot only to the productivity of the graduate, elevating their professional experience, but also the profile of the graduate program.

What YourKey Responsibilities Will Be
- Complete research on appropriate publication venues for thework.
- Identify 3 example papers to model format of submission.
- Generate first draft of publication-ready manuscript, including figures/tables/boxes/appendices as appropriate.
- Engage in revision process for all of the above (this may take multiple rounds of revision depending on co-author requirements).
- Co-develop cover letter for submission and format publication for upload.
The hourly rate for this temporary, part-time position is $30.00.
BenefitsTemporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

What We Require- Completion of the Museum & Field Studies Graduate Program.
- Successful completion of independent educational outreach.
- Prior experience working in a K-12 or other structured educational setting.
- Knowledge of informal learning best practices.
- Detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Interest in museum informal learning and educational best practices.
