What This Role Really Is

  • Biweekly payroll
  • $35 paid stipends for faculty meetings and school events
  • Predictable scheduling based on course assignments

Final Note (Read This)

We are selective. Not because we’re trying to be exclusive—but because students deserve instructors who take this seriously.

If you’re looking for:

  • An easy, low‑engagement teaching role → this is not it
  • A place to share your craft, develop others, and hold a high bar → we’d like to meet you

What You’ll Do
  • Teach in a Way That Actually Lands
    • Deliver structured, clear, hands‑on instruction
    • Demonstrate techniques and coach students in real time
    • Adjust based on what students are actually understanding—not just what’s on the syllabus
  • Develop Real Practitioners
    • Train body mechanics, touch quality, and clinical thinking
    • Give direct, respectful, actionable feedback
    • Help students build confidence through repetition and correction
  • Hold Standards
    • Track attendance and student progress
    • Submit grades in a timely manner
    • Maintain clear, professional communication
  • Be Part of the Faculty (Not Just a Contractor Passing Through)
    • Attend faculty meetings (paid)
    • Participate in at least one community event annually (paid)
    • Contribute to a culture of professionalism and accountability
Who This Is For
  • Care deeply about doing work well—not just getting through material
  • Natually coach, correct, and encourage others
  • Have strong hands‑on skill and body mechanics awareness
  • Can hold a room with both authority and approachability
  • Want to be part of building a program—not just filling a role
Minimum Qualifications
  • Licensed (or eligible for licensure) massage therapist in Colorado
  • Strong foundation in massage techniques and anatomy
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • Bachelor Degree
  • 5+ years of experience working as a massage therapist or relevant experience
  • 2+ years teaching massage therapy relevant experience
Strongly Preferred
  • Current teaching, training, and mentorship experience
  • Experience supervising hands‑on skill development
  • Interest in education quality and student outcomes
  • NCBTMB

Professional Expectations
  • Maintain ethical conduct and professional boundaries
  • Protect student privacy in accordance with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act
  • Follow school policies and instructional standards
  • Create a learning environment that is respectful, inclusive, and focused
Why Instructors Choose BSMT
  • You’re trusted to teach—but not left unsupported
  • Expectations are clear (no guessing what “good teaching” means)
  • You’re part of a small, intentional team shaping a program from the ground up
  • Your work directly impacts student success—not buried in bureaucracy
  • Faculty community meet ups and events (optional)
