Job Summary
The Kiewit Design-Build (DB) Scholar Program Manager manages and assesses all elements of the Kiewit DB Scholar Program in the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS). The Kiewit DB Scholar Program provides approximately 25 scholarships to undergraduate students to enhance infrastructure engineering and construction workforce development. This position is the lead manager of the Kiewit D-B Scholars Program and partners directly with Kiewit and CU Boulder stakeholders to award financial support, engage Scholars in professional development opportunities, facilitate industry and peer mentor relationships, and offer summer internships with Kiewit.
This position will work in a highly collaborative environment to effectively implement all aspects of the Kiewit D-B Scholars program, including student recruitment and mentorship, professional development activities, marketing, planning, budgeting, and reporting. This position requires candidates to possess excellent skills in strategic thinking, project management, creative thinking, and stakeholder engagement (students, faculty, staff, and industry partners). Finally, the position will provide Engineering-focused career advising services to all CEAS students through scheduled appointments, drop-in sessions, group advising sessions, and career and professional development content on Engineering-focused career development topics.
The Kiewit Design-Build (D-B) Scholars Program Manager position is rostered in CEAS, is an active member of the Engineering Career Hub team, and directly reports to the CEAS Assistant Director of Engineering Employer Relations while collaborating with the Assistant Director of Engineering Career Hub Advising.

Key Responsibilities Will Be Kiewit D-B Scholars Program:
Program Management & Donor Relations
- Manages the administration and evaluation of the Kiewit Design-Build (DB) Program
- Maintains positive relations with Kiewit donors, including bi-weekly program oversight meetings in close collaboration with the Director of Kiewit Scholars and the Kiewit Scholars Specialist
- Maintains current budget and develops future budgets by reviewing program expenditures monthly to ensure proper stewardship of gift funding
- Conducts end-of-year surveys with students, analyzes data, and applies findings to implement continuous program improvements
- Prepares annual status reports, budget reports, and leads the annual Advisory Board meetings with CU and Kiewit program leadership teams
- Works closely with CEAS and CU Boulder scholarship staff to manage scholarship application and awarding process
- Maintains regular communication with Kiewit D-B Program alumni, ensuring long-term continuity of the program
Marketing and Application Process
- Coordinates program recruitment through Kiewit information sessions and other targeted outreach to CEAS students (including CEAS partnership students at Colorado Mesa University)
- Facilitates evaluations of applications, interviews student applicants, and selects the final cohort
- Manages mentorship programs for Kiewit D-B Scholars, including Kiewit industry mentors and CEAS peer student mentoring
- Collaborates with Kiewit and CEAS Marketing/Communications team to develop and manage the brand strategy for the Kiewit D-B Program
Student Support
- Ensure Scholars have access to tutoring, job/internship opportunities, or other services as needed to support academic and career success
- Develops curriculum and schedule for bi-weekly course for the student cohort
- Manages the Canvas course to enhance student engagement, including announcements, syllabi, and meeting information
- Plans jobsite tours, professional development seminars, and the annual recognition banquet for Kiewit Scholars, mentors, and faculty
- Administers financial aid to students through the CU scholarship system
