Position: Postdoc in Generative AI and Pedagogy (Arts & Humanities/Social Sciences)

Job Summary

The Center for Teaching & Learning at CU Boulder invites applications for the Postdoctoral Associate in Generative AI and Pedagogy (Arts & Humanities/Social Sciences) position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Synthesize emerging research
    • Review and translate scholarship on generative AI in higher education into accessible, faculty‑facing guidance.
  • Conduct and support research
    • Design and support Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) and/or Discipline Based Educational Research (DBER) projects related to AI.
    • Contribute to external grant development.
    • Pilot and assess AI tools in instructional contexts.
  • Support faculty and CTL programming
    • Collaborate with campus partners to integrate research into CTL programming.
    • Develop workshops, consultations, and discipline‑informed resources.
  • Extend and systematize existing work
    • Build on research conducted by CTL undergraduate Educational Technology Research Assistants.
    • Develop best‑practice frameworks and scalable, asynchronous resources (e.g., guides, modules, case studies).
Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary: $70,000.

Qualifications
  • Ph.D. or terminal degree in a relevant field.
  • One year of post‑secondary teaching as instructor of record.
