School Based Mental Health ProfessionalPosition Summary: School-Based Mental Health Professional provides both direct services and interventions to students as well as consultation and collaboration with school personnel including but not limited to teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, school psychologists, district office staff. The provider conducts assessments for special education evaluation process, delivering group and/or individual counseling, providing interventions for students with mental health and/or social difficulties, learning about and participating in crisis interventions, and assists families in accessing resources (CDE, 2018)
