Teaching Assistant Professor

The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for a full-time Teaching Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2027. The Department has a strong commitment to high-quality undergraduate education. We seek instructors who are committed to inclusive and effective undergraduate teaching, and who are prepared to contribute to the department's broader educational mission. This position includes teaching 4 courses (or their equivalent) each semester.

The successful candidate will be prepared to teach Biological Psychology and a variety of neuroscience courses. Applicants should have a PhD in Neuroscience or a related discipline.

The Department of Psychology and Neuroscience has approximately 43 tenure track faculty and 14 teaching faculty. It offers separate bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Neuroscience to 3,900+ majors. The department also offers doctoral graduate programs in 5 specialty areas.

This position includes teaching 4 courses (or their equivalent) each semester that align with department priorities, departmental service, and active engagement in pedagogical initiatives within the department and across campus. Department priorities include the teaching of Biological Psychology, lower division introductory neuroscience courses, and upper division neuroscience courses dependent on experience and interests.

$73,000-$77,000 salary. A moving allowance of up to $5,000 may be available to the successful candidate. A recruitment incentive may be available in the amount of $5,000.
