This list is illustrative rather than exhaustive. Applicants whose work falls outside these areas are encouraged to apply, including applicants whose work spans artificial intelligence and another discipline.
Artificial intelligence is a growth area for the campus and for the department. The Department of Computer Science offers a Bachelor of Science in Artificial Intelligence, and these two positions are part of a broader cluster of AI hiring. The department has recently made strategic investments in two AI Centers. Computing has been expanded alongside that: a Research Computing reinvestment has added NVIDIA H200 capacity, supported in part by the college and the department, with a share of it dedicated to teaching.
AI research at CU Boulder extends beyond computer science into partners across the College of Engineering and Applied Science, cognitive science, information science, and collaborations with the federal laboratories along the Colorado Front Range. The Boulder area also supports a growing concentration of companies working in artificial intelligence and robotics.
CU is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing nondiscrimination in employment. We are committed to creating a workplace where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, and we encourage individuals from all backgrounds to apply, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
