Behavioral Intervention Specialist
This contract role supports students with autism in a public school setting in Boulder, Colorado, for a 36-week assignment. You will implement behavior intervention plans, collaborate with teachers, and monitor progress. The position offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans for students with autism
- Support classroom activities and behavior management strategies
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student learning
- Monitor student progress and document behavior episodes
- Provide one-on-one support tailored to individual student needs
- Minimum 2 years of recent special education classroom experience in a public school setting, preferably with students with autism and elementary age students
- Experience in public school classroom settings with a minimum of two years
- Reliable transportation mandatory
- Flexible team player with strong collaboration skills
- Working hours 8:30 am to 3:30 pm with occasional additional training days
- Willingness to work only during student attendance days and support moderate needs classrooms
- No BCBA supervision available; candidates should not be in training for certification
Skills:
- Valid RBT license (strongly preferred)
- RBT certification strongly preferred
- Experience working with 2nd and 3rd-grade students preferred
- Weekly direct deposit with next-day pay features and rates 13% above market average
