Position SummaryBlack Bear Energy is seeking a Manager of Client Operations. This position includes managing projects and leading deals for solar and storage opportunities in the commercial real‑estate and corporate sectors. The Manager works with the Client Operations Team, senior Black Bear members, and institutional property owners to identify, plan, develop, and complete projects. Key duties include generating new business, collaborating across teams to deliver excellent service, and handling daily tasks associated with solar and storage project management.
Key Responsibilities- Interface and coordinate with a results‑driven, multi‑disciplinary team of internal and external parties to ensure viability of identified projects through analysis and project management.
- Run the RFP process with the team to identify and recommend channel partners and define commercial terms of each project.
- Create work products including property site decks and RFP results recommendations.
- Manage multiple live deals simultaneously while developing and assessing additional opportunities.
- Develop and manage internal and external networks and relationships with existing clients, industry contacts, and channel partners.
- Collaborate closely with transaction and construction teams to manage projects across swim lanes.
- Work closely with property owners to understand and manage substantive financial, legal, energy, and operational issues of solar or other energy projects.
- Manage relationships with energy/facility/property managers.
- Foster an environment that delivers best‑in‑class service and superior results to clients.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, including regulatory/financial incentives, power pricing, and structured financing transactions.
- Enter and update relevant project and client data within Black Bear’s internal database.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- 4–8 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Passion for the renewable energy/sustainability industry.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills; ability to quickly learn new tasks.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial attitude and diplomatic approach.
- Knowledge of or experience in solar PV, energy efficiency, energy storage, or power projects in the U.S.; knowledge of the renewable energy power market and its dynamics.
Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 annually; 10–15% bonus (depending on experience).
