Senior AI Research Scientist​/Engineer

Our client are building the next generation of AI not by scaling the same old architectures, but by reimagining the entire AI compute stack from first principles.

This is a rare opportunity to join a small, elite R&D team working at the intersection of:

• Neuroscience-inspired algorithms
• Novel AI architectures (beyond transformers)
• Custom hardware platforms designed for efficiency, speed, and scale

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop new neural architectures and training algorithms, with a focus on sequence models and RNN-style systems
• Run large-scale simulations using PyTorch / JAX / Tensor Flow to test ideas quickly and rigorously
• Collaborate closely with hardware engineers to map algorithms into circuits and networks
• Review and apply emerging research from ML, systems, and computational neuroscience
• Communicate results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Mentor and help grow a high-caliber research team

What We’re Looking For

Required

• Strong background in AI/ML research, algorithms, or architecture
• Experience with large-scale simulation and experimentation workflows
• Proficiency with PyTorch, JAX, Tensor Flow, or similar frameworks
• Deep foundations in linear algebra, probability, optimization, and dynamical systems
• Track record of impactful research or engineering contributions

Nice to Have

• Computational or systems neuroscience background
• Hardware-aware algorithm co-design experience
• Work with analog, in-memory, or nontraditional compute platforms
• Leadership or mentorship experience
