This position is for a Cyber Security Engineer on the Next Generation GEO (NGG) program based in Boulder, but also supported in Longmont CO. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic Cyber engineering team that designs, develops, documents, tests, and maintains full spectrum cyber solutions. As a Cyber Security Engineer supporting the NGG program, your responsibilities will include:
• Conducting cyber risk assessment activities, vulnerability analysis, and analysis of mitigation solutions.

• Developing, evaluating, and analyzing design constraints, trade-offs, and detailed system and security designs.

• Implementing appropriate Assessment and Authorization activities as required by customers.

• Prepare ATO, ATC, IATT packages for input into eMASS. Specific technical responsibilities include:
• Assessing and driving mitigation efforts of system security threats/risks throughout the program lifecycle for the Space Vehicles and Ground system.

• Implementation of security policies and or configurations to meet Risk Management Framework (RMF) objectives.

• Interacting significantly with other engineering disciplines to implement security designs, resolve vulnerabilities, modify system or software components security settings, and mitigate risk.

• Performing System Engineering activities to manage Cyber requirements for tracking until closure.

Basic Qualifications:

1. DOD 8570 Experience.
2.

Experience with Authorization and Accreditation processes using Risk Management Framework methodologies.
3.

Experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements, policies, and procedures.
Desired

Skills:

1. Experience performing cybersecurity accreditation activities in support of software and system requirements, design, development, testing, and sustainment of approvals - Authority To Operate
2.

Experience with Net Brain, Zenoss and Hewlett Packard Network Automation (HPNA)
3. Familiar with eMASS, HBSS, ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), DISA STIGs
4.

Experience with Secure Configuration/Hardening of DoD Information Systems
5.

Experience with Intel Driven Threat Modeling, preferably classified Cyber Threat Intel Support
6. Experience briefing complex cyber security principles to all levels of knowledge and skill
7. Experience briefing high level customer stakeholders with cyber security concerns and remediation tactics
8. Knowledge of NIST 800-53
9.

Experience with RHEL and Windows Server/Professional
10.

Experience with SIEM and cloud technologies including Log Rhythm, Splunk, Jira, and Confluence
11. DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
12. Ability to provide guidance on DoD Cyber regulations and requirements to engineering and software development staff
13.

Experience with responding to cyber incidents from detection through remediation.
14. Intuitive and proactive self-starter that's accountable and mission focused.
15. Eligibility for/Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
16. Experience conducting/leading program protection analyses for program and system information, CPI, and trusted systems and networks (TSN)
17. Demonstrated understanding of the life cycle of network threats, attacks, attack vectors, and methods of exploitation with an understanding of intrusion set Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures.
