PositionSatellite Systems Engineer – Global Positioning System (GPS) Satellite Bus Systems Engineer for the Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) division, supporting the GPS sustainment program located at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs.
Position Responsibilities- Provide real‑time support to on‑orbit GPS satellite operations, including investigation of and resolution of satellite anomalies.
- Train to become a subsystem Subject Matter Expert (SME) in assigned subsystems.
- Interface with Operations Customer as subsystem SME.
- Write technical reports.
- Support and initiate process and documentation improvement.
- Support Spacecraft Command Processor and Mission Planning responsibilities.
This position is expected to be fully onsite at Schriever SFB, CO and requires the ability to navigate a military base with no elevators and a long walk from the parking lot.
Basic Qualifications (Required)- Active (interim or final) Secret or above U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required (active within the past 24 months considered active).
- 1+ years of related experience.
- Systems engineering or related experience.
- Willingness and ability to relocate at own expense if not within commuting distance of the Schriever SFB.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non‑U.S. equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
- Systems engineering experience.
- Satellite operations experience.
- Global Positioning System (GPS) engineering experience.
- Telemetry analysis and trending experience.
- Anomaly resolution experience.
- Data analysis, trending, and reporting experience.
Level 2:
Typically achieved through a Bachelor’s degree in an accredited engineering or related program and at least 2 or more years’ related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
Level 3:
Typically achieved through a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 or more years’ related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience. ABET accreditation is preferred but not required.
Ability and willingness to work occasional compensated onsite support outside of typical business hours. Expect infrequent alternating 24/7 on‑call responsibilities for satellite anomalies and operational events. This position is for 1st shift.

Pay & BenefitsCompetitive base pay and variable compensation. Eligible employees can enroll in health insurance, flexible and health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance, and paid or unpaid time off. Pay ranges by level:
Level 2 – $91,800 to $124,200;
Level 3 – $112,200 to $151,800. Pay is based on experience and market considerations.
