Job SummaryAs a Ground Systems Engineer, you will support Millennium’s ground and mission control systems. You will design and develop ground system approaches for new programs, create integration and test plans and procedures for software and mission‑specific ground system hardware, and collaborate with software developers and customers to deliver complete solutions installed at both Millennium’s factory and customer sites. You will also provide solutions for cloud‑based applications, lead proposal development to win new ground‑related business, and oversee the process from contract inception through design reviews, launch preparation, and ongoing sustainment for mission success.
PositionResponsibilities
- Lead definition of requirements for ground hardware and software
- Manage customer relationships directly through trade studies, development and testing to satisfy system mission requirements
- Design, develop, integrate, test, and deliver large‑scale mission control systems
- Lead testing approach for all ground components, subsystems, and spacecraft in test configurations
- Develop plans and procedures to integrate Millennium software applications into Government‑furnished software and infrastructure
- Design, develop, and manage integrated system test events bridging Millennium‑developed products and Government‑furnished systems
- Design interfaces and implementation plans for mission data‑processing applications to support payload elements and program user segments
- Support ground systems during on‑orbit activities, including launch, early operations, on‑orbit testing, normal operations, and end‑of‑life operations
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. Citizenship required. A final U.S. clearance Post‑Start is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or STEM related field
- Experience designing and integrating new ground systems
- Master’s degree in Engineering or STEM related field
- Two or more years of experience designing, developing and/or operating ground systems
- Demonstrated understanding of ground system validation/verification testing
- Active clearance
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post‑Start is required.

Compensation- Level 4: $146,200 - $215,000
- Level 5: $176,800 - $260,000
