** Consultant - Commissioning
** for our
** Denver or Boulder, CO
** office. WSP USA works closely with architects and owners from around the world on large, complex projects with a focus on sustainability and energy performance of the built environment.
Our Commissioning Engineers work on high quality, complex, high-profile projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of building commissioning processes. This opportunity provides technical assistance and guidance for activities to validate construction, integrity, operability, and the commissioning of building systems and facilities projects in the public and private sector. Tasks may include assisting with the planning, directing, coordinating, testing, and commissioning and retro commissioning of building systems including HVAC, steam, compressed air, chilled water, plumbing, and automation.
Generates accurate and concise reports and documentation regarding the configuration of equipment, optimization studies, system functional testing, readiness testing, and the transition from the construction phase to full operations. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for performance, reliability, safety, and security for building inhabitants.

** Your Impact*
* + Collect, compile, and analyze data from the physical work site during various construction phases, surveys, blueprints, schematics, data, technical drawings, flow diagrams, computer-generated reports, and other matrices for project energy auditing actions, validation, and commissioning.
+ Perform professional building and system commissioning work by conducting research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, equipment, resources, layout, usage, and systems to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, codes, and installation or operating permits.
+ Assist with developing configuration, testing specifications, and readiness plans; preparing and updating checklists/punch lists and cost estimates that require coordination with owners, other disciplines, sub-consultants, and clients.
+ Participate in incorporating advanced technology, modeling techniques, concept development, design requirements, load calculations, and operating strategies to account for the proper installation and functioning of equipment and systems according to specifications; implementing future-ready solutions with building systems operating standards.
+ Participate in verifying site characteristics and providing technical assistance on various design, installation, and integration issues relating to commissioning and retro commissioning of building systems including HVAC, steam, compressed air, chilled water, plumbing, and automation.
+ Work as an individual or as part of a cross-functional team to execute project work, assist with laying out commissioning activities, calculating costs, and ensuring project work conforms with specifications, permit applications, schematics, compliance documentation, and regulatory and technical analysis memos.
+ Prepare data and visualizations such as tables, charts, accurate reports, sketches, calculations, technical drawings, spreadsheets, and 2D/3D illustrations for the interpretation or presentation of data, findings, or analyses.
+ Maintain quality control standards, document logs of control and equipment functionality testing and verification, and procedures for accurate and precise measurements, calculations, statistical analysis, and reporting.
