** THE WORK*

** Network Engineer with an active Top Secret clearance to work from our Boulder, CO, location *
* This is a MID SR CAREER  level 4  ROLE where candidates typically require 5  years of professional experience and a BS degree

The Overhead Persistent Infrared  OPIR  Infrastructure Team is seeking a
** Network Engineer
** to design, build, and sustain the ground‑station platform that supports both SBIRS and the Next‑Gen GEO OPIR ground stations  In this role you will work closely with software, security, and mission engineers to deliver ultra‑reliable, secure, and scalable ground‑systems that enable continuous infrared surveillance and missile‑warning capabilities for legacy and next‑generation satellite constellations

As Network Engineer you will:

- Design and plan network communications systems

-  Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture

- Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements

- Conduct testing of network design

- Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc  Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network

* Basic Qualifications:

*
* -  3 years of Network Engineering experience i e  design, implementation, troubleshooting of complex network infrastructure

- Deep knowledge of OSI/TCP/IP Models, Layer 2/3 technologies  VLAN, OSPF, BGP , and hands on experience with either Cisco/Juniper Devices  both preferred

- Familiarity with one or more of the following:

DISA STIGs, COMSEC, and/or TACLANEs
