Job Title
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned. Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing and field service operations. Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools, such as CAD, Pro Engineer, Solidworks. Gathers information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts, sketches to present design proposal.
Coordinates design criteria with engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning group such as ease of manufacture, availability of materials, and contractual specifications. TECHNICIAN SUPPORT CAREER STREAM:
Provides technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development. Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures, and performs detailed mathematical calculations. For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes.

Recognized as expert in technical area, with high degree of initiative, who trains, delegates and reviews the work of lower level employees and may be responsible for leading daily operations of a work unit. Ensures project plans and budgets are met Recommends improvements to test processes and procedures across teams. Organizational Impact:
Performs most complex technical activities and identifies, evaluates, and implements continuous improvements to optimize work processes. Work consists of technical tasks of the highest complexity. Innovation and Complexity:
Technical problems faced are general and may require understanding of broader sets of issues and other job areas, but typically are not complex. Responsible for working with supervisor to implement adjustments or enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area and/or functions. Communication and Influence:
Communicates typically with internal contacts, including participating in benchmarking other business units. Obtains and provides technical information on matters of significant importance to one or more job areas. Leadership and Talent Management:
May act as a team leader or coach and assistant to the supervisor / manager. May delegate tasks to other team members and be responsible for the review of work product and processes. Does not have formal management responsibilities, but provides input to people management decisions in this area. Required Knowledge and
