Assistant Adjoint Professor
As an Assistant Adjoint Professor in the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Energy Engineering (ECEE), this applicant will contribute to the Department's research and educational mission through collaborative activities that leverage extensive expertise in microwave engineering, monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs), RF subsystem design, and industrial product development.
This appointment will strengthen the Department's capabilities in microwave and RF engineering by bringing extensive industrial expertise into student mentoring, collaborative research, proposal development, thereby enhancing the translation of advanced microwave technologies from research to practical implementation.

Key Responsibilities Will Be
The anticipated duties may include:
- Advise and mentor graduate and undergraduate students involved in microwave, RF, and millimeter-wave research.
- Provide technical guidance on RF circuit design, MMIC development, CAD-based simulation, prototype fabrication, laboratory measurements, and experimental validation.
- Mentor students on engineering design practices, design reviews, troubleshooting methodologies, and transition from research concepts to manufacturable hardware.
- Collaborate with ECEE faculty on the conception, planning, and execution of research projects in microwave circuits, RF front ends, phased arrays, spectrum sharing technologies, and related areas.
- Contribute industrial perspectives to research methodologies, technology development, and experimental validation.
- Participate in the preparation of competitive research proposals submitted to federal agencies, industry sponsors, and other funding organizations.
- Assist in identifying research opportunities, defining technical objectives, developing work plans, and preparing supporting technical documentation.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, conference papers, journal publications, and other scholarly documents arising from collaborative research activities.
- Assist with the preparation of progress reports and deliverables for externally funded research projects.
- Provide technical consultation on microwave circuit design, measurement techniques, design-for-manufacturability, and industry best practices.
- Support laboratory development and the evaluation of emerging RF technologies and measurement methodologies.
- Share insights from industrial research and development to enhance student preparation for careers in academia, government laboratories, and the RF/microwave industry.
- Participate in seminars, technical discussions, workshops, and other departmental activities as appropriate and mutually agreed upon.

What We RequirePhD in Electrical Engineering, and 14 or more years of relevant industry experience.
