Stage Technician On Call

Production Technician

The University of Colorado Boulder is searching for Production Technicians to assist with all aspects of concerts, theatrical performances, events, and conferences. This would include everything pertaining to the set up, load in, run of show, and load out. All work will be supervised by a Macky Theater Professional. Knowledge of different aspects of live entertainment including but not limited to audio, lighting, A/V, rigging, and stage management is a plus.

Macky Auditorium Concert Hall is a multi-disciplinary venue and an auxiliary unit of the University of Colorado's College of Music. One of the 12 buildings that forms the Norlin Quadrangle Historic District, it serves the campus and the region by entertaining, educating and challenging audiences with high quality local, national and international performances and events. A wide range of performers and speakers have graced our stage throughout the years, such as Eleanor Roosevelt, the Dalai Lama, Yo-Yo Ma, Jane Goodall, Robin Williams, Conan O'Brien, Bill Maher, Eddie Izzard, Alley II, Neil de Grasse Tyson, Sam Harris, Pilobolus, and Bill Nye, just to name a few!

Production Technician assists with all aspects the success of live events including loading in/out and setup of lighting, audio systems, dance floors, staging, and props.

This is an on-call, self-scheduled position. Hours worked are primarily evenings and weekends.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.

Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.

• 1 year of relevant experience
• Must be able to work nights/weekends (flexible scheduling available)
• Must complete Macky orientation, Rigging and Safety training
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs

• Ability to follow directions

• Experience working in a concert/theater environment
