Job Summary
The University of Colorado Boulder is searching for Production Technicians to assist with all aspects of concerts, theatrical performances, events, and conferences. This would include everything pertaining to the setup, load in, run of show, and load out. All work will be supervised by a Macky Theater Professional. Knowledge of different aspects of live entertainment, including audio, lighting, A/V, rigging, and stage management, is a plus.
We offer training in all of these areas.
Macky Auditorium Concert Hall is a multi‑disciplinary venue and an auxiliary unit of the University of Colorado's College of Music. It serves the campus and the region by entertaining, educating, and challenging audiences with high‑quality local, national, and international performances and events.
ResponsibilitiesProduction Technician assists with all aspects of the success of live events including loading in/out and setup of lighting, audio systems, dance floors, staging, and props.
What You Should KnowThis is an on‑call, self‑scheduled position. Hours worked are primarily evenings and weekends.
What We Can OfferThe pay range for this position is $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.
BenefitsTemporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits‑eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.
What We Require- 1 year of relevant experience
- Must be able to work nights/weekends (flexible scheduling available)
- Must complete Macky orientation, Rigging and Safety training
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to follow directions
- Experience working in a concert/theater environment
