Financial Manager
The Controller leads and manages accounting functions and related activities. This position is responsible for publishing financial statements and appropriate analysis, development of operating budgets and timely communication of business results and emerging financial issues to corporate and business unit management. The Controller is responsible to ensure appropriate internal controls and accounting policies and procedures are in place and operating effectively.
Under leadership of the Controller, the accounting and finance group supports day-to-day transactions for payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash management and bank reconciliations while ensuring process integrity and accurate financial statement representation. The Controller is responsible to represent the company in external audits.

Key Result Areas:
- Report, analyze, and provide corrective action on the financial performance of the company and its programs to enhance long term viability of the organization.
- Supervise and participate in the preparation of various financial statements and reports to yield accurate results in a timely manner then review reports with management personnel.
- Direct and participate in company wide cost and variance analyses, forecasts, and major economic objectives and policies then report results to management.
- Prepare annual company & department budgets, authorize expenditures, and track costs to control expenses.
- Assess company financial and department activities to make improvements for a more consistent and predictable product and service.
- Prepare quarterly financial forecasts including revenue, profit and cash flow and prepare variance analysis with explanation.
- Maintain company records in an orderly manner to support audits as required.
- Build and manage resources, processes, systems, and controls to effectively execute the accounting, and finance functions.
- Develop and maintain a documented system of accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, uniformity and compliance to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Oversee the accounting department to achieve department goals and objectives.
- Plan, organize, staff, delegate, supervise, measure and report on accounting, timekeeping, payroll, asset management and office support activities of the organization.
- Direct internal audits involving review of accounting and administrative controls.
- Develop, lead, and manage a high performing accounting and finance team to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Define expectations, delegate as appropriate, provide positive reinforcement, promote team problem solving, coach and develop employees to enhance employee engagement and effectiveness.
- Hire, train, develop and retain accounting and finance staff.
- Ensure all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations
- Provide effective communication and reporting to ensure all stakeholders are working together.
- Coordinate audit, financial, and reporting preparation, submission, and resolution with outside organizations.
- Prepare and communicate the accounting philosophy and system, and program information to appropriate personnel in the organization.
- Work closely with Senior Management on strategic and tactical organizational matters.
- Responsible for payroll and benefit administration with close cooperation with Human Resources (HR).
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete and compliant.
- Confirm compliance with GAAP and Tax Law and correct if necessary.
- Participate in audits and compile required documents and information as requested from auditors.
- Create, implement and improve financial leadership and accounting strategies across departments and within the organization.
- Generate robust financial analysis tools and communicate results to management and owners along with recommendations.
