* Job Description:
** The
** Drawback Administrator
** is responsible for managing and executing the U.S. duty drawback program, including data analysis, claim preparation, and post‑filing support. This role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant drawback claims under CBP regulations, while maximizing legitimate duty recovery for the company. The Drawback Administrator partners closely with Trade Compliance, Finance, Procurement, Logistics, and external experts to maintain a robust, audit‑ready program.

* Key Responsibilities:
*** Oversee end‑to‑end administration of the company’s U.S. duty drawback program (e.g., unused, manufacturing, rejected merchandise).
* Collect, reconcile, and validate data from customs entries, bills of lading, commercial invoices, AES filings, inventory records, and internal systems to support drawback claims.
* Prepare and review drawback claims and work with third‑party providers responsible for claim filing.
* Develop exception reporting to identify and resolve data mismatches and gaps; consolidate and normalize data from multiple business units and service providers into a unified set for claim processing.
* Develop claim strategies and prioritization to maximize recovery while adhering to regulatory requirements.
* Maintain comprehensive and organized drawback documentation and audit files, ensuring traceability from import to export/destruction.
* Manage Customs audits and inquiries related to drawback, ensuring timely and compliant responses.
* Develop and maintain internal SOPs, controls, and calendar tracking for claim deadlines and record retention requirements.
* Coordinate with IT and Finance to improve data quality and implement automated data feeds and reconciliation routines to support drawback.
* Analyze drawback program performance and produce periodic reports and metrics on recovered duties, claim status, and financial impact.
* Educate internal stakeholders (e.g., Logistics, Sales, Operations) on drawback-eligible scenarios, documentation needs, and process requirements.
* Monitor regulatory and procedural changes related to drawback and implement necessary adjustments to policies and processes.

* Preferred Qualifications:
*** Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field; or equivalent years of directly relevant experience.
* Minimum 5 years of experience working with U.S. customs operations, duty drawback, or customs accounting within a corporate environment.
* Regulatory knowledge requirements include a comprehensive understanding of U.S. duty drawback laws and regulations, CBP guidance, Customs entry processes, import/export documentation, recordkeeping, and the connections between import classifications, values, and drawback eligibility.
