Overview
First Citizens Bank has an incredible opportunity for a Sales Support Specialist (Commercial Lending Assistant). We are hiring banking professionals with proven success, self‑motivated and strong relationship‑building skills. This role partners with Commercial and/or Business Banking groups in sales, servicing and management of clients and loan portfolios.
Responsibilities- Provide ongoing sales support to lenders, including identifying sales and cross‑sell opportunities, coordinating materials for presentations, setting up sales calls, maintaining prospect lists, and making joint calls as needed.
- Originates, processes, and ensures accuracy of loan documentation for closings. Enter financial information into the loan system and ensure all necessary documentation is included in the loan package prior to closing.
- Resolve documentation exception issues, maintain service levels, update financial statements, and prepare files for all portfolio reviews. Run reports to track maturing lines/loans and service levels.
- Communicate, report, and follow up on portfolio past dues to ensure they remain current, while maintaining customer contact.
- Coordinate opening of deposit and other banking services with branch partners. Handle customer requests for information and problem resolution.
- Basic Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of experience in sales or lending support OR
- Bachelor’s Degree with experience in sales or lending support
- Additional Requirements:
- Must have 1+ years of experience, specifically commercial loan processing (mortgage loan processors are not a good fit for this position).
- Strong working knowledge of the loan documentation and loan closing processes.
- Experience with vehicle titles, life insurance, deeds of trust, and UCC filings.
- 4+ years of loan servicing and documentation preparation experience.
- Preferred
Skills:- Commercial real estate experience.
- Prior experience as a bank teller or universal banker.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized, strong ability to multitask, and professional written and verbal communication skills.
For hires in Colorado, base pay generally ranges from $29.59 to $40.03 per hour, depending on skills, experience, location and other non‑discriminatory factors. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits and other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
