Salary ranges:
Government Proposal Financial Analyst II: $72,000 - $93,000;
Sr Government Proposal Financial Analyst: $85,000 - $110,000.

Key Responsibilities
- Learn and follow the processes defined in Woodward's Cost Estimating and Pricing manual.
- Develop and prepare FAR Part 15 compliant proposals, ensuring full compliance with the Truthful Cost or Pricing Data Act.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather required data and insights for proposal development.
- Assist in interfacing with DCAA and DCMA during audits, providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Prepare responses to customer audit requests, ensuring clear communication and timely submission of required materials.
- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Read and understand Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and Bills of Material (BOMs), while developing a working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Reporting:
Prepare pricing, cost analysis, and audit support reports, and communicate financial information clearly to internal teams, customers, and government audit personnel. - Data Management:
Collect, organize, and maintain proposals, pricing, and actual cost data to ensure accuracy and traceability of supporting documentation.
- Commitment to quality and continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).
- Financial Analysis:
Perform detailed cost analysis, pricing analysis, and modeling using financial software and tools. - Accounting:
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices as they relate to cost analysis, pricing, and proposal support. - Data Analysis:
Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to collect, organize, and analyze proposals, cost, pricing, and actual data. - Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex financial information to non‑financial stakeholders. - Problem Solving:
Strong problem‑solving skills, including the ability to identify and analyze pricing, cost, and proposal issues and recommend solutions. - Attention to Detail:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, including the ability to identify errors and discrepancies in financial data. - Time Management:
Manage multiple tasks and priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Pro Pricer, SAP, and other pricing and analytical tools. - Business Acumen:
Knowledge of the company's business, government contracting environment, and defense market dynamics.
- U.S. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
- 2‑5 years of experience in cost estimation, government contracting, or a related discipline.
