Salary ranges:
Government Proposal Financial Analyst II: $72,000 - $93,000;
Sr Government Proposal Financial Analyst: $85,000 - $110,000.

Government Proposal Financial Analyst II

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and follow the processes defined in Woodward's Cost Estimating and Pricing manual.
  • Develop and prepare FAR Part 15 compliant proposals, ensuring full compliance with the Truthful Cost or Pricing Data Act.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather required data and insights for proposal development.
  • Assist in interfacing with DCAA and DCMA during audits, providing requested documentation and explanations.
  • Prepare responses to customer audit requests, ensuring clear communication and timely submission of required materials.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Read and understand Basis of Estimates (BOEs) and Bills of Material (BOMs), while developing a working knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Reporting:
    Prepare pricing, cost analysis, and audit support reports, and communicate financial information clearly to internal teams, customers, and government audit personnel.
  • Data Management:
    Collect, organize, and maintain proposals, pricing, and actual cost data to ensure accuracy and traceability of supporting documentation.

    Knowledge of accounting principles and practices as they relate to cost analysis, pricing, and proposal support.

    Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to collect, organize, and analyze proposals, cost, pricing, and actual data.
  • Communication:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.

    Strong problem‑solving skills, including the ability to identify and analyze pricing, cost, and proposal issues and recommend solutions.
  • Attention to Detail:
    Strong attention to detail and accuracy, including the ability to identify errors and discrepancies in financial data.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Pro Pricer, SAP, and other pricing and analytical tools.
  • Business Acumen:

  • 2‑5 years of experience in cost estimation, government contracting, or a related discipline.
