The RoleThe SVP, Finance & Accounting oversees the Bank’s accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, tax strategy, regulatory reporting, holding company financial management, and internal controls. This role partners closely with executive leadership and the Board to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and long-term growth. It also provides oversight for specialized programs, including Qualified Settlement Fund (QSF) operations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead accounting, finance, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Provide strategic financial insight to executive leadership and the Board.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reporting packages.
- Manage holding company financials, intercompany accounting, and tax coordination.
- Oversee tax strategy, regulatory reporting (Call Report, FR Y‑6, FR Y‑9SP, SOD), and audit/exam coordination.
- Chair ALCO and support balance sheet, liquidity, and interest rate risk management.
- Lead and mentor accounting/finance staff; support cross‑department collaboration and process improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced industry education preferred.
- 10+ years in bank finance or accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, regulatory reporting, banking accounting, and corporate/partnership taxation.
- Experience with Call Reports, holding company structures, and financial institution audits preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills; strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Salary range: $150,000–$185,000
