Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is a local, independent, physician‑owned medical group with over 20 primary and specialty care departments, 90 providers, and 325+ clinical and support professionals. We have clinics in Boulder (2 locations), Louisville, Longmont, and Erie.

- Day shift schedules.
- Experience working with both primary care and specialty care clinics.
- Answer the telephone promptly, evaluating patient needs to determine appointment type.
- Summarize appointment details prior to ending the phone call.
- Manage all phone functionalities such as transfers, placing callers on hold, forwarding calls to the after‑hours message system, etc.
- Accurately record patient name, number, and demographic information using correct spelling and punctuation.
- Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments according to provider preference and scheduling protocol.
- Navigate and operate the Electronic Medical Records system, arriving patient for appointments and inputting relevant information as needed.
- Good judgment, professionalism, and discretion when screening calls and relaying information.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain phone etiquette using tact and diplomacy.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong computer and data entry skills.
- Strong grammar and spelling ability, and ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Neat, well‑groomed appearance and courteous manner.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA compliance is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate’s Degree or some college coursework in Business or Healthcare Administration is preferred.
- One year of previous work experience in retail, hospitality, administrative, restaurant, etc., involving public contact; heavy phone experience is preferred.
- Previous experience as a medically trained professional (CNA, EMT, Patient Care Technician, etc.) is a plus but not required.
- Previous experience with patient scheduling in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
- Bi‑lingual ability (Spanish) is a plus.
- $17.19 - $22.92 per hour (full range $17.19 - $25.79), commensurate with experience.
