- Boulder Heart Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $ 34.78#- $52.17 an hour -#Full-Time Days, 40#hours per week Boulder Community Health is seeking a Cardiac Device Nurse# for Boulder Heart who is responsible for the clinical, technical, and educational aspects related to the care of those patients who have implanted cardiac devices.#They perform device checks and remote monitoring of implanted cardiac devices, as well as post-implant site checks.

#1 year minimum Cardiology/Telemetry experience as an RN #1-year minimum experience evaluating and reprogramming implantable cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators #1-year minimum experience utilizing device programmers to complete cardiac device interrogations including interpretation and creation of device reports Responsibilities #Implements essential patient teaching elements, and serves as a resource for patient concerns and questions, upon hospital discharge, and throughout device/patient lifetime.

#Oversees post procedural appointments for cardiac device generator replacements, and new implants. Incorporates patient and family education, and the SSI strategies reflective of SCIP and IHI best practices. #Provides patient education and troubleshooting to promote and maintain remote patient follow-up by trans-telephonic monitoring #Responsible for trouble-shooting, evaluating and interpreting technical and arrhythmia information upon interrogation of the implanted cardiac device, and subsequent physician communication #Employees are expected to comply with all regulatory requirements, including Joint Commission Standards.

#Is familiar with organization, department and job specific Environment of Care areas, including Life Safety, Utilities Management, Hazardous Materials Communications, Emergency Preparedness, Infection Control and Medical Equipment Failure.
