Overview

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is a physician‑owned, multi‑specialty clinic looking for Medical Assistants to join our Family Medicine team. The role is full‑time (32–40 hours per week), benefit‑eligible, and supports providers at multiple locations in Boulder and the surrounding area.

• Perform clinic administrative duties: answer telephone calls, verify patient information, check patients in and out, and coordinate appointments.
• Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, medication dosage and frequency, allergies, and assist with examinations.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and/or manual systems following protocols, regulations, and policies.
• Prepare examination rooms, ensuring proper equipment and supplies are available.
• Document all aspects of the patient encounter on an electronic medical record system.

• Good history‑taking skills and strong, competent computer skills.
• Accurate and complete documentation and strong time‑management/organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and establish priorities with little supervision.
• Excellent communication with patients, providers, and staff.

• Completion of a Medical Assistant education program. Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
• Alternatively, other completed medical training with proof of active certification and 1+ years of recent field experience (e.g., EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA) is acceptable.
• Military medical training and education with supporting documentation is also acceptable.
• College graduates with a completed 4‑year bachelor’s degree where transcripts reflect completed health‑science coursework.
• Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic setting is preferred.

• Hourly pay: $18.91 – $28.36, reflecting experience and qualifications.
