We currently have clinics located in Boulder (2 locations), Louisville, Longmont, and Erie.

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking motivated pre‑med college graduates to join our team as Medical Assistants (MAs). This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on clinical experience during your gap year in a dynamic outpatient care setting. Ideal candidates are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare and are able to commit to 1.5–2 years of full‑time employment (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday), with occasional rotating Saturday morning shifts.

- Day shift schedules.
- Experience working with both primary care and specialty care clinics.
- Perform clinic administrative duties, including answering incoming telephone calls, obtaining and verifying patient information, patient check‑in/out, and coordinating accurate patient appointments.
- Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, medication dosage and frequency, patient allergens, and assist with medical examinations.
- Maintain accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and/or manual systems as established by appropriate protocols, regulations, and policies.
- Prepare examination rooms, ensuring proper equipment is present and rooms are adequately stocked.
- Document all aspects of the patient encounter on an electronic medical record system.
- Must be able to recognize and identify patient symptoms and use appropriate professional judgment during care.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to all four BMC sites as assigned.
- Must be available by phone to accept assignment changes as needed.
- Completion of Medical Assistant education. Certification is not required but preferred.
- Other completed medical training and proof of active certification accepted as a substitute for Medical Assistant credentials (e.g., EMT, Surgical Tech, CNA). Must have worked with the certification for 1–2 years.
- Military medical training and education with supporting documentation accepted as a substitute for Medical Assistant credentials.
- College graduates with a completed four‑year bachelor’s degree accepted as a substitute for Medical Assistant credentials. College transcripts must reflect completed health science coursework. Please submit a copy of your unofficial transcripts at the time of application.
1–2 years of experience in any industry.
Pay$18.91–$25.21 per hour (full pay range $18.91–$28.36 per hour).
