The role you’ll contribute:

The Cardiovascular Intervasive Laboratory Specialist (CILS) I perform a wide range of technical skills, which are utilized during a variety of Cardiovascular, Non-ablation Electrophysiology or Interventional Radiology procedures to provide an efficient, comfortable, and safe examination of all patients. The CILS I is proficient in two out of the three standard roles of scrub, circulate and monitor consistent with the policies, procedures and processes of the Cardiovascular Services department and Hospital Administration

The value you’ll bring to the team:
  • Proficiently performs diagnostic coronary procedures, diagnostic electrophysiology procedures, interventional radiology procedures, peripheral diagnostic and/or interventional procedures.
  • Performs effectively in two of the three procedural roles (circulate, monitor, scrub) required in a therapeutic cardiac laboratory team based on the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals Scope of Practice. Takes call as rotated/assigned and responds (in hospital) per policy.
  • May perform waived and/or non-waived Point of Care Testing. If performing non-waived Point of Care Testing, as defined by the state and the facility, must have approved competency and documented proof (copy of either diploma or transcript, at the highest level of academic achievement) at the time of the facility non-waived Point of Care training.
  • Produce an accurately written, promptly completed medical record for each patient based on the scope and complexity of the intervention procedure and patient clinical conditions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation [Required]
  • Knowledge of Cardiovascular anatomy [Required]
  • Knowledge of vascular anatomy [Required]
  • Knowledge of Hemodynamic Monitoring [Required]
  • Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with patients and their family, hospital staff, nurses, physicians, and other health care professionals [Required]
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the health care industry [Required]
  • Ability to monitor patient blood pressure, ECG, and Pulse Oximetry using sophisticated clinical equipment Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]
  • Must be able to read, write and speak conversational English [Required]
  • Knowledge of electrophysiology diagnostic procedures [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of interventional radiology procedures [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of peripheral diagnostic procedures [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of peripheral intervention procedures [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of interventional cardiology procedures [Preferred]
Education:
  • Associate's [Required]
  • Bachelor's [Preferred]
Field of Study:
  • in Cardiovascular Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Radiologic Technology or Respiratory Therapy
Work Experience:
  • 2+ years experience [Required]
  • Cardiovascular Lab experience [Preferred]
  • Electrophysiology Lab experience [Preferred]
  • Interventional Radiology Lab experience [Preferred]
  • Peripheral Lab experience [Preferred]
Licenses and

Certifications:
