Surgical Tech - Certified - CVOR
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician, where you will serve as a dedicated patient caregiver. In this role, the CST assists the registered nurse in the intra-operative care of the surgical patient by the performance of routine and delegated duties according to the policies and procedures of Boulder Community Hospital.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of a School of Surgical Technology or an equivalent education and/or experience may be considered.
- OR Graduate of a School of Nursing with one-year experience as a surgical technologist in an acute care setting
- OR Former training in a military setting
- Colorado Registration is required
- Certification preferred
- BLS certification is required by the American Heart Association
- One to two years of CVOR experience required
Responsibilities:
- Proficiently scrub all complex procedures
- Ensures instruments and equipment are available to their specialty service for use
- Anticipates the needs of the surgeon by preparing and passing of instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies needed during the operative procedure.
- Assists the RN in the delivery of care to the intra-operative procedure.
- Demonstrates proper handling of specimens.
- Consults with and/or advises appropriate personnel of instrument or equipment needs requiring follow-up or attention.
- Utilizes physician preference cards and inventory lists to accurately organize equipment and supplies for operative surgical procedures.
