CT Technologist

Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303 $ 49.66 - $69.24 an hour - Full-Time Nights, 36 hours per week
* Range includes nights and weekend differential
* This position is a floating position between the Foothills campus and the Community Medical Center

Boulder Community Health seeks a skilled CT Technologist/Radiologic Technologist to provide exceptional patient care and perform CT (Computed Tomography) / DX (Diagnostic Radiological) studies. Qualifications:

  • Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT) for Radiology Technology
  • Completion of CT training (structured or on the job)
  • BLS by the end of the conditional period
  • Active Registered Technologist (ARRT) for CT, or CT registered within:
    • 2 years from hire/transfer date for trainee
    • 18 months from hire/transfer date for registry eligible staff
  • 1 year of experience preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate patient care during CT imaging procedures.
  • Perform CT and diagnostic imaging exams, ensuring appropriate positioning and exposure settings to minimize radiation dose while maintaining image quality.
  • Administer intravenous contrast agents in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Accurately schedule patients and manage workflow to ensure timely and efficient patient throughput.
  • Coordinate and review clinical history, prior imaging, and physician orders to determine the necessity for additional or specialized views.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CT equipment, ensuring cleanliness and reporting malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  • Oversee and participate in quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) processes to meet regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Orient, mentor, and support new technologists and students to promote team development and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Utilize the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for exam tracking, documentation, and image retrieval.
  • Manage daily shift operations and coordinate workflow to optimize staff coverage and exam efficiency.
  • Address and help resolve patient concerns or complaints, ensuring a positive patient experience.
  • Participate in the evaluation of new imaging technologies, software, and equipment to improve departmental operations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation for billing, coding, and charge capture for imaging services provided.
