Clinical Lab Technician 1

The Clinical Lab Technician 1 will be in a regulated clinical laboratory receiving, processing, and performing high throughput testing of samples using standard laboratory equipment and robotic liquid handling systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform accessioning of samples including receipt, storage, aliquoting, and disposition
  • Perform the Soma Scan assay using robotic liquid handling systems and other laboratory equipment
  • Perform tasks per established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI)
  • Ensure accurate and timely results
  • Maintain sample integrity and traceability throughout sample processing
  • Adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
  • Comply with laboratory safety policies and procedures
  • Comply with Quality Assurance and Regulatory requirements
  • Participate in the continuous improvement process such as providing feedback
  • Participate in internal meetings, seminars, and trainings
  • Perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment
  • Operate and perform quality control checks on general laboratory equipment
  • Maintain stocks of general laboratory supplies

Requirements:
  • Typically requires less than 1 year of related experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in life science, chemical, physical, biological science, or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution is required.
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and time management
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and as part of a team
  • Experience using microliter single-channel and multi-channel pipettes
  • Experience performing data entry
  • Experience using laboratory equipment
  • Work is in a typical laboratory environment with Personal Protective Equipment
  • The work environment may include, but is not limited to, the following hazards: chemical, electronic, mechanical, biohazard waste, and infectious material.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand and must be able to kneel, squat, and sit.
  • Performs hazardous waste duties in accordance with internal controlled documents, local, State and Federal regulations.

The estimated base hourly range for the Clinical Lab Technician 1 role based in the United States of America is: $21.20 - $31.77. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. The range reflects long‑term growth in the role; therefore, most candidates are hired between the minimum and middle of the range.

Placement depends on experience, skills, location, and internal equity.
