Temporary Research Assistant

The Temporary Research Assistant will support the design, development, testing, launch, and maintenance of an online therapist toolkit being developed through a CU Boulder research project in partnership with Rise Against Suicide. The toolkit will translate findings from therapist co-design interviews and focus groups into an accessible, user-friendly digital resource for therapists providing care to youth experiencing suicidal ideation and behavior.

The position will work closely with the Principal Investigator, research team, community partner, and therapist users to develop the toolkit's structure, navigation, content organization, and functionality.

The Community Partnered Youth Mental Health Lab conducts research that addresses the following core question:
How can we improve mental health care access, engagement and quality for underserved youth, young adults, and families? We conduct research in partnership with communities that focuses on translating evidence-based interventions into routine care settings to support mental health and well being among young people.

Design and develop an online therapist toolkit based on findings from therapist co-design interviews and focus groups;
Develop the toolkit's information architecture, navigation, and visual design in collaboration with the research team;
Implement and maintain a content management system that allows the research and community partner teams to add and update resources;
Ensure the website is mobile-responsive and accessible to the intended clinical and professional audience;
Conduct accessibility review and refinement consistent with WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines;
Support website testing, troubleshooting, optimization, and launch;
Provide ongoing technical support for the toolkit following launch.

The hourly rate for this part-time position is $20.

Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.
