SummaryAs an Outpatient Therapist at Sunrise Counseling and Wellness, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate mental health care to clients facing substance use challenges. This position is essential in promoting healing and recovery while ensuring that clients feel valued and supported throughout their treatment journey.
Responsibilities- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Develop personalized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
- Provide ongoing assessment of client progress and modify treatment strategies as necessary.
- Facilitate support groups to encourage peer interaction and shared experiences.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and treatment outcomes in compliance with regulations.
- Educate clients about coping strategies, recovery processes, and available resources.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in mental health care.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- Valid state licensure as a therapist or counselor is required.
- Proven experience in outpatient therapy, particularly with substance use disorders.
- Strong knowledge of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other therapeutic modalities.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding for mental health diagnoses is essential.
- Experience working with diverse populations, including children and individuals with disabilities, is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to foster positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training in relevant therapeutic techniques.
