About the Position:

We are seeking passionate and driven Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) to join our growing team at a nimble, innovative pharmaceutical company dedicated to developing therapies for patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM) and heart failure. As an MSL, you will serve as a key scientific resource to key opinion leaders (KOLs) and healthcare professionals (HCPs), helping to bridge cutting-edge science and clinical practice.

This position is field-based and requires the ability to engage with thought leaders, clinicians, and researchers in the cardiovascular space. You will play a crucial role in supporting our mission to bring transformative medicines to patients who need them most.

Essential

Job Duties and Functions:
  • Serve as a scientific expert in cardiology, specifically HCM and heart failure, engaging in peer-to-peer discussions with KOLs and HCPs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with KOLs in academic centers, and community HCPs.
  • Provide timely, fair-balanced, and accurate scientific information in response to unsolicited medical inquiries.
  • Support medical and clinical teams during clinical trials by assisting in identifying potential sites, assisting with patient recruitment strategies, and facilitating communication between sites and internal teams.
  • Provide scientific support for advisory boards, including preparation, facilitation, and follow-up.
  • Attend scientific congresses and symposia to gather and disseminate relevant scientific information. Staff medical booth, as needed.
  • Deliver scientific presentations internally and externally to support education and training initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders (e.g., Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, and Pharmacovigilance) to ensure scientific alignment.
  • Gather, document and disseminate medical insights and competitive intelligence to inform company strategy and development programs.
  • Effectively manage assigned territory to optimize scientific engagement and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Required Education,

Experience and Skills:
  • Accredited doctorate degree in a life-science or basic-science discipline (Pharm.D.,

    D.Sc., D.N.P., Ph.D., or M.D./D.O.) strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience as an MSL or in a field medical/scientific role within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Prior experience in cardiology or rare diseases, preferably related to HCM and heart failure
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with KOLs and other HCPs in both academic and community settings.
  • Understanding of clinical trial design, execution, and the regulatory environment.
  • Experience analyzing and communicating complex scientific data in a clear and meaningful way.
  • Proven success managing both internal and external stakeholders in a dynamic, matrixed organization.
  • Recognized as a valued collaborator and contributor within cross-functional teams.
  • Deep scientific knowledge and passion for cardiovascular medicine.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 60-70% with overnight stays, as needed. May include international travels.
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage time and priorities, lead projects while valuing input from others, and operate with a high level of integrity, professionalism, and initiative.
  • Take and follow directions, accept guidance from management, and adjust quickly to changes
