SummaryBoulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking Medical Assistants and / or medically trained candidates to join our Family Medicine team as a Medical Assistant! This is a benefits-eligible position, working 40 hours per week.
BMC’s Family Medicine department provides comprehensive, preventative care to patients of all ages—from pediatrics to geriatrics—and includes services such as eye exams and women’s health (provider-specific; may vary based on provider's focus). The clinic maintains a steady, manageable pace, thanks to longer appointment times that support meaningful patient interactions.
This role offers a balanced mix of clinical and administrative work, giving team members valuable experience in both direct patient care and operational tasks. Please note that providers may rotate between clinic locations, so reliable transportation may be required.

- Day shift schedules.
- Experience working with both primary care and specialty care clinics.
- Perform clinic administrative duties, including but not limited to, answering incoming telephone calls, obtaining and/or verifying patient information, patient check in/out, coordinate and facilitate accurate patient appointment
- Obtain patient medical history, vital signs, chart preparation, medication dosage and frequency, patient allergens, and assist with medical examinations
- Maintain accurate and strict confidentiality of patient information in electronic and/or manual systems as established by the appropriate protocols, regulations, and policies
- Preparing examination room, ensuring proper equipment is present and room is adequately stocked
- Document all aspects of the patient encounter on an electronic medical record system
- Good history-taking skills, strong, competent computer skills; accurate and complete documentation skills; good time management and organizational skills.
- Relate well and communicate with patients, providers, and staff.
- Able to demonstrate self-direction in establishing priorities and working with little supervision.
