The initial focus will be on payroll, benefits administration, recruiting coordination, employee records, onboarding, and day-to-day HR operations. As the Bank continues to grow and the position transitions to full-time, additional responsibilities will expand to include broader employee relations, talent development, HR initiatives, and strategic Human Resources support.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Primary Responsibilities (Initial Part-Time Role)
Employee Lifecycle Administration Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities.
Prepare offer letters and onboarding documentation.
Maintain employee personnel files and HR records.
Recruiting & Talent Support Coordinate candidate interviews.
Manage candidate communications.
Maintain job postings, job descriptions, and organizational charts.
Support hiring managers throughout the recruiting process.
Benefits & Leave Administration Administer new hire enrollments and qualifying life events.
Assist with annual Open Enrollment.
Assist employees with benefit questions.
Process HRA reimbursements.
Payroll & HRIS Administration Process semi-monthly payroll.
Maintain Paycom employee records.
Review timecards and assist managers with payroll questions.
Employee Relations & Communication Support employee communications and HR-related announcements.
Respond to routine employee questions and HR inquiries.
Expanded Responsibilities (As the Position Transitions to Full-Time)
As the Bank grows and the position expands to a full-time schedule, additional responsibilities are expected to include:
Conduct background checks and employment verifications.
Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
Process garnishments and employment verifications.
Support employee relations initiatives and HR programs.
Act as liaison and trainer for HR-related systems.
Assist with performance improvement plan documentation and tracking.
Maintain HR records and required documentation.
Assist with handbook updates.
Complete required regulatory reporting.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and Bank policies.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual experience and abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.5 years of Human Resources experience.
Experience with HRIS/payroll systems, preferably Paycom.
Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification…
