Overview
Senior Advanced Dev Ops Engineer –
Location:
Boulder, CO;
Workplace:
Hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week).
As a Senior Advanced Dev Ops Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, automating, deploying, and sustaining secure, production-grade cloud and container-based platforms supporting mission-critical systems. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to guide platform architecture, drive automation, and support deployments across classified environments.
Responsibilities to Anticipate- Design, automate, deploy, and maintain container orchestration platforms
- Build and manage automated infrastructure services including IAM, networking, security, logging, monitoring, and deployment pipelines
- Support cloud platform implementations through architecture guidance, best practices, migrations, and troubleshooting
- Plan and execute major platform upgrades and enhancements
- Support production systems in virtualized and cloud environments using automation
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and configuration management solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams and platform consumers to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering or related STEM field plus 8+ years of experience (or Master’s degree plus 6+ years)
- Strong experience in Dev Ops, cloud, and automation supporting production systems
- Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Open Shift, Rancher)
- Experience with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks (Git Lab, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, etc.)
- Familiarity with public, private, or hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Open Stack, RHOSP)
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and Dev Ops best practices
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in collaborative teams
- Agile experience preferred
- Security best practices (STIGs, RMF, hardening, certificates, encryption, patching)
- Infrastructure-as-a-Service and Platform-as-a-Service technologies
- Cloud resource management in AWS and/or Azure
- Experience with open-source infrastructure components (NGINX, Rabbit
MQ, Redis, Elasticsearch) - Networking and web technologies including load balancers, firewalls, and REST APIs
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance required at time of hire
- Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
- U.S. citizenship is required
