We’re looking for a senior, hands‑on IT leader to own all internal IT, cloud administration, and baseline security operations across a growing technology organization of 75+ employees. This role blends strategic stewardship of our IT roadmap with technical execution, including identity and access management, SaaS administration, endpoint management, certificate lifecycle management, and support for our Azure cloud resources.
You will serve as the full‑time internal IT owner while coordinating MSP/MSSP partners for helpdesk and network operations. You’ll work closely with the CTO, Engineering Team, and Dev Sec Ops to ensure our infrastructure, tools, and controls are secure, reliable, and implement best‑practices (e.g., NIST 800‑171, CMMC 2.0).
Key Responsibilities Strategic & Operational Leadership- Define and execute the company‑wide IT roadmap in alignment with engineering, security, and compliance strategies.
- Act as the primary liaison to MSP/MSSP partners, ensuring strong performance and service‑level accountability.
- Establish and enforce IT standards, policies, and operating procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement across IT operations, automation, documentation, and user experience.
- Administer Azure Entra , Office 365, and Azure Portal configurations including RBAC, PIM, MFA, conditional access, licensing, and device compliance.
- Manage onboarding/offboarding, user lifecycle automation, and SaaS administration across tools such as Miro, Cursor, ChatGPT, Salesforce, and Expensify.
- Maintain Microsoft 365 Admin Center configuration.
- Oversee endpoint management (Windows, macOS, mobile) including patching, standards, and compliance using Intune or similar tooling.
- Manage device inventory, procurement, and lifecycle.
- Maintain backup, recovery, and continuity processes.
- Coordinate network operations (firewalls, VPN, WiFi, network access control) with MSP partners.
- Support Engineering and Dev Sec Ops teams in Azure with troubleshooting, resource configuration, policy enforcement, and monitoring improvements.
- Assist with cost governance, subscription hygiene, logging/alerting, and operational reliability within Azure.
- Provide light IaC, scripting, or automation support (Power Shell/Python) where beneficial.
- Implement and maintain security tooling (EDR/XDR, MDM, SASE/ZTNA, SIEM) together with MSSP partners.
- Enforce least‑privilege access controls and continuous monitoring across cloud and endpoint footprints.
- Support alignment with CMMC 2.0, NIST 800‑171 rev2, SOC 2, and related security frameworks when necessary.
- Coordinate incident response, vendor assessments, and security investigations.
- Own certificate lifecycle management (S/MIME, SSL/TLS, PKI).
- Manage MSP/MSSP relationships, contracts, renewals, and performance.
- Oversee cloud and SaaS spend; forecast future needs and budget requirements.
- Evaluate vendors and negotiate pricing for IT and security tooling.
- 8+ years of IT experience; 3+ years in senior admin or IT lead/manager roles.
- Strong expertise with Azure Entra , Office 365, conditional access, Intune, and identity/security configurations.
- Solid hands‑on experience with network administration, endpoint protection, and cloud security fundamentals.
- Proven experience managing outsourced IT providers.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST 800‑171, CMMC, SOC 2, or comparable standards.
- Strong documentation habits and a process‑driven mindset.
- Experience in cybersecurity, SaaS, or regulated industries.
- Certifications:
CISSP, CISM, Microsoft Azure Administrator, Security+, or similar. - Power Shell, Python, Terraform, or other automation tooling experience.
