The OpportunityThe Doyle Group is partnering with a municipal technology organization seeking a Service Now Administrator / Systems Engineer to support and expand their enterprise Service Now platform. This individual will play a key role in administering the Service Now environment, enhancing service management workflows, and expanding the organization’s service catalog across departments.
This role is ideal for a technologist who enjoys working across both application platforms and infrastructure. While Service Now administration will be the primary focus, the position also requires foundational systems administration experience to support integrations, automation initiatives, and broader platform capabilities.
The environment is collaborative and evolving, offering opportunities to contribute to automation initiatives, platform enhancements, and future integrations including AI-driven service workflows.
ResponsibilitiesService Now Administration & Platform Management
- Administer and support the organization’s enterprise Service Now platform
- Maintain and enhance Service Now ITSM capabilities including ticketing and request management
- Build and expand the Service Catalog to support multiple internal departments
- Configure workflows, automation, and request fulfillment processes
- Maintain Service Now platform configurations while prioritizing out-of-the-box functionality and best practices
- Support enhancements to the Service Now portal and user experience
- Assist with ongoing development and implementation of Service Now modules including Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
Service Now Integrations & Automation
- Support integrations between Service Now and enterprise platforms
- Configure connectors and integration spokes as needed
- Assist with automation initiatives and AI-enabled service capabilities
- Support platform integrations with Microsoft technologies including Teams and Copilot
Systems Administration & Infrastructure Support
- Support infrastructure components related to Service Now integrations such as mid servers
- Assist with scripting and automation initiatives using Power Shell or similar technologies
- Work within Microsoft cloud environments including Azure and Microsoft 365
- Maintain familiarity with Active Directory and enterprise monitoring tools
- Respond to infrastructure alerts and collaborate with system administration teams as needed
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand service workflows and operational needs
- Collaborate with IT teams to improve service delivery processes
- Help identify opportunities to improve automation, service delivery, and user experience
- Participate in service design discussions and platform expansion initiatives
- Experience administering or supporting the Service Now platform
- Experience with Service Now ITSM and Service Catalog management
- Familiarity with Service Now platform configuration and administration best practices
- Experience with Power Shell scripting or other automation tools
- Experience working with Microsoft technologies (M365, Azure, Active Directory)
- Understanding of enterprise infrastructure environments and server administration concepts
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively across IT teams and internal stakeholders
- Experience with Service Now Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
- Experience with Service Now integrations and connectors
- Experience supporting Service Now portal or employee service center configurations
- Experience integrating enterprise tools such as collaboration platforms, monitoring systems, or cloud services
- Exposure to automation or AI-driven service workflows
