Position Overview
Cyber Security Engineer on the Next Generation GEO (NGG) program based in Boulder, CO with support options in Longmont, CO. The role is part of a dynamic cyber engineering team that designs, develops, documents, tests, and maintains full-spectrum cyber solutions for the NGG program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cyber risk assessment activities, vulnerability analysis, and analysis of mitigation solutions.
- Develop, evaluate, and analyze design constraints, trade-offs, and detailed system and security designs.
- Implement Assessment & Authorization activities as required by customers.
- Prepare ATO, ATC, IATT packages for input into eMASS.
- Assess and drive mitigation efforts of system security threats and risks throughout the program lifecycle for the Space Vehicles and Ground system.
- Implement security policies and configurations to meet RMF objectives.
- Interact with other engineering disciplines to implement security designs, resolve vulnerabilities, modify system or software security settings, and mitigate risk.
- Perform System Engineering activities to manage cyber requirements until closure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline; or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience.
- DOD 8570 Experience.
- Experience with Authorization and Accreditation processes using RMF methodologies.
- Experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements, policies, and procedures.
- Experience performing cybersecurity accreditation activities in support of software and system requirements, design, development, testing, and sustainment of approvals – Authority To Operate.
- Experience with Net Brain, Zenoss, and Hewlett Packard Network Automation (HPNA).
- Familiar with eMASS, HBSS, ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), DISA STIGs.
- Experience with Secure Configuration/Hardening of DoD Information Systems.
- Experience with Intel-Driven Threat Modeling, preferably classified cyber threat intel support.
- Experience briefing complex cybersecurity principles to all levels of knowledge and skill.
- Experience briefing high-level customer stakeholders with cybersecurity concerns and remediation tactics.
- Knowledge of NIST 800-53.
- Experience with RHEL and Windows Server/Professional.
- Experience with SIEM and cloud technologies, including Log Rhythm, Splunk, Jira, and Confluence.
- DOD 8570 IAT II Certification.
- Ability to provide guidance on DoD Cyber regulations and requirements to engineering and software development staff.
- Experience responding to cyber incidents from detection through remediation.
- Intuitive and proactive self-starter that is accountable and mission-focused.
This position requires a government security clearance. Candidates must be U.S. citizens. Clearance level: TS/SCI.
Work Schedule & LocationOn-site full-time at the designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Schedule:
9x80 (working 9 hours on 5 days, followed by 8 hours on the next day) with every other Friday off.
Annual base salary range (California, Massachusetts, New York, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC): $82,900 – $146,165. Salary may vary by location.
