As a Cyber Security Engineer supporting the MUOS program, your responsibilities will include:

- Conducting cyber risk assessment activities, vulnerability analysis, and analysis of mitigation solutions in order to develop satellite and simulator cyber requirement baseline

- Analyzing, developing, and evaluating cyber RMF controls and cyber engineering requirements

- Planning and implementing appropriate program protection activities as required by customers

- Implementing appropriate Assessment and Authorization activities as required by customers

Specific technical responsibilities include:

- Assessing satellite and simulator system security threats/risks based on threat intelligence, MBCRA, and Dev Sec Ops  pipelines, and executing mitigation efforts throughout the program lifecycle for the satellite and simulation environments

- Interacting significantly with other engineering disciplines as well as the customer  to implement and integrate satellite and simulator cyber requirements well as associated verification methods/approaches within detailed system and security engineering assembly, integration, and testing

- Supporting the planning and execution of program protection including satellite and simulator software assurance, SCRM, criticality analysis, and AT plans

- Prepare ATO, ATC, IATT satellite and simulator artifacts and packages per Space AO memoranda for input into eMASS

- Support planning and implementing of NSA Type 1 cryptographic systems with satellite and simulators

Experience with Authorization and Accreditation processes using NIST Risk Management Framework methodologies

Experience with DoD cyber test and evaluation  requirements, policies, and procedures

* 1  Experience performing cybersecurity accreditation activities in support of software and system requirements, design, development, testing, and sustainment of approvals   Authority To Operate

2  Intuitive and proactive self starter that's accountable and mission focused

3  Familiarity with Aerospace TOR based RMF control tailoring

4  Familiar with eMASS, HBSS, ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker  SCC , DISA STIGs

Experience with Secure Configuration/Hardening of DoD Information Systems

6  

Experience with Threat Based and Intel Driven Risk Modeling, preferably classified Cyber Threat Intel Support

7  Experience briefing complex cyber security principles to all levels of knowledge and skill

8  Experience briefing high level customer stakeholders with cyber security concerns and remediation tactics

9  Knowledge of NIST 800 30, 800 37, 800 53, CNSSI 1253, as well as DoD Cyber T&E Guidebook

10  Ability to provide guidance on DoD Cyber regulations and requirements to engineering and software development staff

11  

Experience with satellite systems and embedded RTOS

12  

Experience with NSA Type 1 cryptography and ECUs
